La Vie En Rose: Making Gigi's Dress

Well, the first week of Project Run & Play is over and I managed to squeak through.
I have been keeping a photo diary of some of the steps I took to design my dresses.

Inspirations.....

Sister, 1915
You can find these photos on my Pinterest boards

I wanted to design something that reminded me of an early twentieth century child.

Some of my designing process or what I remembered to photograph......

Above is the dress before I made a new, flared sleeve the skirt straight.

Have a nice week!

  9. Justine, I really liked your whole look, loved the dusky pink & the soft ruffles on your 9 yr old's dress with the exposed metal zipper in the back it mixes the hard & soft, but it totally works. When I saw it, I thought for sure you'd be in the top 3, I don't understand the voting.

  10. It's beautiful! I never dared to put my little ones into silk except for special occasion dresses. I love how you've captured the essence of the vintage dresses.
