Felted Wool Roses

felted wool roses felt roses
Hello readers! I thought I would share photos of my method for making roses out of felted sweaters which I used on the felt crown I made earlier this week.
I started with a circle and cut into sparals. Then I cut the spirals into scallops. I rolled it up and sewed it shut from the bottom. You could also use your hot glue gun but mine is so messy I avoid using it if I can.
I prefer needle and thread.
If you are stopping by for my Sew & Tell Saturday link up, I have postponed doing it for the time being. It's very time consuming to do on Friday nights when I'm tired from shuttling kids around all week and all of the business in general. Honestly, my family has been complaining about the time I spend blogging and I'm trying to make less work for myself, especially since I have been also busy making dresses for my Etsy shop that I'm opening next week. I will send out an e mail to you all who have posted if I start it back up in the future.
Thanks to all of you who were a part of it.

  3. Thanks for a timely tutorial. A friend is cleaning out her sweaters this month and offering me the wool ones to felt. I'll have to make her some roses as a thank you.
