Here are the featured projects from last week:
Check out this tutorial for making your own chevron pattern skirt from strips of fabric at You and Mie. This is ingenious!
Sertyan gave modern pattern New Look 6978 a super retro feel for the Mad Men Challenge she was participating in on her blog Sertyan's Sewing Corner. I love the red buttons!
Jamie from Scattered Thought Of a Stay At Home Mom consistently posts great sewing tutorials. This cute sundress tutorial would be cute to make for adults too!

Hey! Saw you over on the Burdastyle contest winners! Congrats!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see your post about the Burdastyle contest! Congrats. In the meantime, I'll enjoy the work submitted here.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if any of you wise sewers can give me some advice. I've sewn a whole lot of plain yellow cell phone pouches to protect cell phones touch screens that kids use. I own a promotional company and I have to print promotional media on them for a company called Tracfone for their 'family value promotion' if you buy their LG800 smart phone.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of taking iron on transfer paper, and printing my promotional media on there and then ironing them on to the canvas pouches. I've never done this before but I've heard it's cheap to do. Has anyone tried this and is it the best route to go?
I nominated you for the Leibster award. Well deserved.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting every week, Justine! I love popping over, even when I have noting to link up just to see what everyone else has made. :)
