I thought it might be fun to add a post category of my sewing bloopers. So often blogs only show products that worked out nicely that it can be disheartening to beginning sewers out there. Well, as you can see no one can do without their seam ripper and some of us ( ahem!) are in too much of a hurry to make a muslin so we just cut the pattern in the good fabric and "ughh!!" Off to the thrift shop or costume pile it goes after you get sick of feeling guilty about all the time and money you wasted in making it and buying the materials and how it would be easier to just make a new version rather than take it apart and fix it.
As you can see, big pleats growing out of a low wide yoke paired with narrow knee cuffs isn't the most flattering combination! My daughter did warn me that they would probably be hideous when she saw the envelope photo. Out of the mouths of babes, right ? I did get some use for these as they were perfect to donate to a high school production of As You Like It.

I love that fact that you showed your blooper. I did too, on my blog. It's good to know others go through these things so you don't feel a lone!
