Sew & Tell Saturday February Week One

WELCOME TO SEW & TELL SATURDAY!
Well I woke up this morning to find my linky party never went up last night so sorry about that.
So annoying...
I'm trying something new here for February and I'd love to hear your input.
( If you stopped by last week you probably already read this....)
Since this is a small party and it's a lot of work to put up a linky party every week, I thought I might leave up the linky party for the whole month.
For instance I will post it every Saturday, and leave it up for the weekend since I don't blog on the weekends. I'm trying to balance my life a little better.
Your posts from the week or weeks before will stay up all month and when you add a new link I have the photos ordered so the latest link shows up at the top instead of the bottom.

That way when you stop by you can take your time going through the projects.
And more readers who are just stopping by will see your posts too.

I will do my featured linked projects once a month on the first week.
I hope I'm not being confusing!
What do you think ?

We'll see how it goes!
Rules:

  • Please only link sewing and handmade fashion projects. As much as I love to do crafts myself, I like to keep the focus on fashion for this party.

  • Link from your blog post.

  • Please give a link back, either a text link in your post or you can copy my button html below and place it in your post, your sidebar, or your party page to let your readers know so they can come and join in too!

  • Don't forget to paste my button on your party page or post! Or you can jjust do a text link if your don't like buttons.

  • Photobucket

Here are some featured sewing projects from January:

I fell in love with this Boho chic 70's  does $0's dress called My Inner Grandma made by Mie at Sewing Like Mad. I think Mie is talented like mad! This dress has so many wonderful design elements like the puffed shoulders and color blocking yet is still appropriate for a child.

This Cabbage Rose dress dress by Seams Unbiased is just lovely and so is the setting!
Amy Stebbins Starry Seaside Wrap dress is outta sight! How did she make mild mannered Butterick 5454 look this hot????

This dress was refashioned for a little girl from an adult's dress by Pam at Threading My Way. Pam has some great upcycling tutorials on her blog.

Make a boy in your life some cool fleece PJ's with this tutorial from Scattered Thoughts Of A Crafty Mom.

    1. Hmm, is it just me? I don't see any linkys?

I love the idea of keeping the same one open for the month, gives us more opportunity to visit the links.

    2. I think this might be a very good idea. Then I won't have to rush to get things posted. I have a skirt ready to go but I haven't blogged about it yet, so I couldn't post it Saturday. This way I can take my time and not worry that no one will look at my post because I am the last to link. Do you know what I mean? I will let you know if I get more traffic this way or not. I will be linking some time this weekend.

    5. I like the new format, too. Sounds like it will take some of the pressure off all around. I enjoy the blog very much.

    7. Justine, I'm a little confused. It looks like there are two separate, active linky parties in this one post. Is it suppose to be that way? One closes a couple of days before the other.
